There is nothing quite like stepping back in time and revelling in all of the good the bad and the ugly of fashion trends. We all have the trends we love and the ones we don't like so much, but one that keeps coming back around every few seasons is the high waisted jean.
Love it or hate it, it's back in full swing and I am loving playing around with how to style them !
Light denim is perfect for the change in season right now as they have a summery fresh feel and look to them. Depending on the weather, you can style them with a cut off top like I have here, or you can tuck in a singlet or t-shirt and pull the waist in with a sexy belt.
There are so many ways to wear a high waisted jean and it does take a bit of getting used to if you haven't worn them before. Search for a pair that is tight enough around the waist so it's not loose and baggy, and find a great belt to mix and match day/night .
I find high waisted jeans look so great and sexy, and if worn with confidence, you can't go wrong.
I enjoy a more casual look, a casual top and boots, throwing on a hat to keep it cool, but taking it into the evening just means throwing on a structured blazer and some killer heels.
